Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is wrong with the venting system I am using now?
If you are using vinyl or foil flex pipe you are endangering the
safety of you and your family and voiding the warranty
of your
clothes dryer.
All manufactures recommend, in their installation manuals, to
use solid metal pipe to exhaust your dryer to the outside.
This is the best way to exhaust your dryer and
The QUICK CONNECTOR-™ conforms to
the manufactures
recommendations and helps extend the life of your clothes dryer.
2. Why should I pay a little more for your venting
system?
The QUICK CONNECTOR ™ system is a top of the line
product that utilizes solid metal pipe in accordance with
manufactures suggestions, witch complies with their warranty
requirements of a proper venting system to be installed
on your
dryer. It also has a smooth interior finish as per the new
International Code Council definition of dryer
exhaust venting.
The QUICK CONNECTOR™ system is a safe, time saving,
energy saving product that is easy to install.
3. Why do I have a lot of lint in my dryer and the
surrounding area?
The main culprit is improper venting.
If the dryer cannot exhaust properly, a back pressure develops which
allows lint to blow out any opening in
the dryer, thus causing a
buildup of lint in and around your dryer.
4. Why is my dryer taking so long to dry my clothes?
Here again improper venting can cause this problem. If you
are using flexible pipe on your dryer it could be stopped up
with lint, crushed or damaged if your dryer has been pushed too
close to the back wall.
Visually check your vent and make corrections to your exhaust.
If you are still having problems with lengthy drying times,
after you've made your corrections then the chances are the
previous plugged or damaged exhaust vent pipe created an airflow
problem with your dryer that caused a mechanical failure, at
this time it would be a good idea to call a service person.
5. Why does my dryer get so hot to the touch?
Proper airflow allows your dryer to breath, so to speak, and any
form of blockage creates a backpressure and heat build up
inside
your dryer.
If your exhaust vent is clear of obstructions and not collapsed
and your dryer is still getting to hot, TURN
IT OFF! This is a dangerous situation. Call a service person.
6. Why does my utility room feel humid and sometimes I
even have condensation on my utility walls?
The main function of a clothes dryer is to remove moisture
from clothing. This process needs an open exhaust vent to
expel
this moisture to the outside. If your exhaust vent is plugged or
crushed this will cause the moisture to escape
from your dryer
along with lint to the immediate area of your dryer.
Correct your exhaust vent and eliminate this problem.
